Singular Plural

The main verb is "give" give / gave / given
I was gave something to eat. (incorrect!)
They were gave some work to do. ( incorrect!)
She was given some help. (correct!)
(be) supposed to _____
Idiomatic and passive, "be supposed to" shows expectation. Someone expects you to do something in the present or the future:

It's supposed to go
Someone expected you to do something in the past:

"(be) supposed to" can only be used with the present and past tense forms of the verb "be." The verb "be" indicates the tense
